It's actually to our advantage (when this works as it should) to be given points for related content like the Renaissance Faire because some players may have already acquired the venue independently of having purchased Dragon Valley and could put those points to good use on other things. A whole lot of things, some not very nice, can be said about EA but they don't have a huge reputation for providing click-throughs to take our money and then simply flat out not deliver what was originally promised.

I find it difficult to believe though that the points that were to be be included in the gold pack are not meant to part of the package any longer even though Origin doesn't list them and would still attempt to follow up with customer support about this. Part of this is a leftover effect of our at one time being able to buy worlds they were selling for cash (rather than points) directly from the TS3 store site, but the store no longer handles cash/credit card transactions hence the redirect to Origin to process such purchases. And the sims 3 store page just directs you to origin when you try to buy the things it charges actual money for. Because they can just point to the actual origin page where the purchase happens and how it doesnt mention simpoints anywhere. So I expect if I want the rest of that stuff Ill have to pay more money. Origin lists the contents of the pack as just including celtic lands pack. I had planned to buy that with it, yes, since it seriously should just have come with that world, but we have to be nickel and dimed to an extent, the is EA, but that deal is no longer what is actually being sold it seems. The Sims 3 Store says it includes the points, The Origin shop where you actually can buy the thing says nothing about points under the list of things it includes. It might help if you log out of the store site completely and log in again, also might help if you clear your browser's cache or try a different browser.īut if still not there after some time passes, it would be back to customer support to fix that. The reason for providing the 1,900 points in the gold version is so that the Renaissance Faire Venue can be obtained, this is the one that comes with the violin and archery, though the points can be used for other things instead.
